Never Run Out Of Supplies

As a designer, you learn never to use the last of anything!  When you see a finding getting low in its container, or a special color of glass running low, make sure to buy more immediately, because running out of any supplies is terribly frustrating. If possible, try to always buy a larger supply than you think you will need.

Money or the lack of it is often the inhibiting factor and we all know about that.  Work with your suppliers, be honest with them and you will be surprised to find that many of them will be very helpful, even giving you an extension on your due dates for paying the bill.

Try to buy in Quantity.

First of all, buying in quantity saves a lot of money in the long run, and of course having a good stock of findings, threads and even containers and zip lock bags means you can work faster, produce a lot of work in a short time and generally avoid the frustration of wanting to work on a new idea but being held up because you ran out of one little thing.  This is how you grow, how your business can gain a reputation for producing fresh ideas, and staying ahead of the crowd.
